Bohan Contracting is a custom home remodeling company in Annapolis, MD. Bohan Contracting is growing by consistently winning new business and needs to expand its finance team by hiring a Bookkeeper.
We’re seeking an experienced bookkeeper who is a creative thinker, has strong organizational skills, and can multitask in a fast-paced environment. This position is crucial in maintaining financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting the organization's financial operations.
The full-time schedule is Monday through Friday, solely at the corporate office in Annapolis, MD. Living within a reasonable driving distance of Annapolis is required.

Position Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable process (enter supplier bills in Quickbooks, issue monthly payments, maintain files for vendors, process weekly subcontractor payroll)
- Manage recordkeeping for Accounts Receivable (send payment requests to customers, record and make daily deposits, update CRM with billing information, maintain bank records)
- Monitor credit card transactions for company cardholders
- Maintain Account List in Quickbooks for company assets and liabilities, including vehicles, equipment, etc.
- Manage vehicle finance accounts, including automated payment process, financial recordkeeping
- Research and verify discrepancies to resolve billing issues
- Prepare bills, invoices, bank deposits, and reports for senior management
- Other administrative tasks to support the overall operations of the company
Position Requirements
- High school diploma
- At least three years of bookkeeping experience
- Exposure to the home remodeling or construction industry is highly desirable
- Capability of delivering a high level of customer service
- Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Advanced skills with using Quickbooks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Compensation
- Base salary of $65,000+. We determine offers based on experience, knowledge, and capabilities.
- Annual bonus plan based on company profitability
