Ford Family Dental is seeking a Front Desk Coordinator with high energy, a strong sense of teamwork and exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Prior experience in a dental setting is essential.
This candidate will be responsible for the following:
Patient Reception and Customer Service:
- Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming environment.
- Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring all necessary forms are completed.
- Provide patients with pre-appointment instructions and post-treatment care information.
Appointment Scheduling:
- Manage the dental office's appointment calendar, scheduling and confirming appointments.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and resource allocation.
Patient Records and Data Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations like HIPAA.
- Update patient information, including medical histories and insurance details.
Billing and Insurance Processing:
- Assist with handling billing and payment processing, including patient co-payments and outstanding balances.
- Work with dental insurance companies to verify patient benefits.
- Assist patients with insurance-related questions and provide estimates for dental procedures.
Office Administration and Organization:
- Keep the front office organized, ensuring supplies are stocked and office equipment is functioning.
Team Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with dental staff, including dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants, to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to office workflow improvements.
Problem-Solving and Conflict Resolution:
- Address patient complaints or issues in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Assist in resolving scheduling conflicts or other operational challenges.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year experience in dental office administration or healthcare billing preferred.
- Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc.
- Strong understanding of dental insurance policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
