1. Responsible for collaborating with Wellness and Prevention Director in the management of Health Services initiatives, personnel, financial resources, developing plans and strategies to achieve and surpass wellness and prevention goals, objectives, and resolutions.
2. Assure compliance with state and federal laws, regulations and standards. Correspond with parties on the state, federal, and local levels on a recurring basis to meet all data collection and reporting requirements.
3. Will be responsible for managing contracts for the SAMHSA, federal and state grants assigned. This includes solicitation and selection of contractors, establishing work plans and deliverables, and assuring adherence to plan.
4. Manage operational functions of division budgets, finance, and contracts. Assist with the securing new funding sources and implementation of funds
5. Assists in the development and maintenance of division strategic planning. To include but not limited to the ongoing operation of the Tribal Advisory Council, Tribal Data Workgroup, Tribal Best Practice Workgroup, and related Task Forces.
6. Assists Wellness and Prevention Director in developing policies and procedures for the Division of Wellness and Prevention.
7. Recruits, hires, and supervises staff under the Wellness and Prevention Director. Responsibility will include assistance in providing orientation, supervision, evaluation and staff training of all Wellness and Prevention employees.
8. Responsible for developing, reviewing social marketing messages and campaigns. Will work in close relations with health communications and communications to assure branding and proper messaging is being developed.
9. Assures adherence to confidentiality of client records in accordance with 42 CFR Part II, HIPAA and FERPA regulations.
