Position Overview: As a Part-Time Sustainability Consultant, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional client services across a variety of strategic sustainability issues. You will be responsible for developing and implementing performance strategies that align with best practice frameworks and our clients' sustainability goals. Your expertise in utilizing tools such as SASB, GRI, TCFD, and GHG Protocol to develop strategies and reporting tools, along with your experience in deploying effective solutions in areas such as decarbonization, circularity, ESG standards and frameworks, materiality assessments, stakeholder engagement, and climate risk assessment, will be essential to our success. Experience in the manufacturing, energy, or food & beverage industries is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Services: Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on strategic sustainability issues, ensuring high-quality and impactful solutions.
- Impact, Risk, and Readiness Assessments: Conduct assessments to identify and prioritize key sustainability issues for clients.
- Performance Strategies: Develop and implement comprehensive performance improvement plans to help clients manage their impacts and achieve targets.
- ESG Standards and Frameworks: Assist clients in adopting and complying with relevant ESG standards and frameworks, ensuring robust sustainability reporting and performance.
- Industry Expertise: Leverage experience in the sustainability space to provide specialized insights and solutions, and contribute to content generation to demonstrate ICG’s thought leadership.
- Business Development: Contribute to the growth of the consultancy by identifying new business opportunities, participating in marketing efforts, and expanding client relationships.
- Market Intelligence: Identify and monitor trends, innovation, and opportunities in the sustainability space to inform client services and firm growth strategies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainability consulting or related fields.
- Proven experience in deploying effective and competitive sustainability strategies, particularly in decarbonization, circular economy initiatives, ESG standards and frameworks, supply chain, and operations.
- Industry experience in manufacturing, energy, or food & beverage is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change.
