Automatic Door Service Technician will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, troubleshooting, installing, and repairing all makes and models of automatic entry doors and the electrical systems associated with this equipment.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot industrial openings equipment, mechanisms, mechanical systems and low voltage electrical systems.
- Perform service, maintenance, repair and installation on a variety of different commercial automatic entry doors. To include the mechanisms, mechanical systems and electrical circuits associated with each.
- Provide information and recommend services to the customer and/or sales team.
- Complete service tickets, work logs and parts ordering for service jobs.
- Maintain a high standard of safe work practices and quality control.
- Follow company and OSHA safety rules and guidelines. Avoid injuries and damage to property, loss of unused materials and clean-up of work area debris.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- Experience with repair, maintenance and installation of high energy and low energy automatic doors, required.
- Valid and current American Association of Automatic Doors Manufacturers (AAADM) Certification, highly preferred.
- Experience in architectural doors, frames and hardware, highly preferred.
- Technical school training and manufacture certification, preferred.
- Ability to work overtime.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, technology driven, service environment.
- Follow all safety procedures in performing work, as well as company policies.
- Able to work without supervision and in a team environment.
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs.
- Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Keep and maintain a clean, stocked and organized van and a clean on-site work environment.
- Must conduct yourself as a professional. Always be polite and accommodating to customers and vendors.
- Must be conscience of personal hygiene - keep oneself clean and presentable.
- Must have a valid state issued driver’s license. No DUIs.
- The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check and random drug tests. No felony convictions.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to carry and operate power tools, use hands to maneuver, handle or feel, and hear and talk. The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb ladders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move tools, equipment and doors up to 120 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, the ability to adjust focus and color differentiation. Employees must maintain a high level of self-awareness about their surroundings due to the high level of high voltage AC/DC power in the work environment.

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
