We have an immediate opening for a
Senior Project Manager who will assist with managing cost, schedule, and technical performance of programs to ensure project contractual work products are delivered on time and within budget.
Job Title: Senior Project Manager
Location: Canonsburg, PA 15317
Contract Duration: 12 months or longer
Pay: $58.57/hr.
Note: Due to the nature of work all candidates must be US Citizens. May be required to obtain Secret Security Clearance upon hire within a reasonable period of time.
Responsibilities:
- Manages subcontracts for critical components supplied by the client’s partners.
- Provide for an additional program interface with customers and the internal engineering and production team.
- Assists with the development of the performance measurement baseline and monitors execution, including establishment of and routine reporting on the technical performance, financial status, and program risks and issues.
- Assists the Program Manager by drafting the monthly Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) in coordination with inputs from Control Account Managers.
- Identifies program problems and issues, and coordinates with the Program Manager, functional managers and customers to obtain solutions.
- Reviews reports and briefings prepared by staff for quality and compliance to contract requirements.
- Provides oversight and management of supplementary technical instructions from the customer.
- Supports execution of program reviews (quarterly travel anticipated).
- Prepares and delivers formal briefings.
- Complies with quality assurance and security procedures in the performance of duties.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated project leadership in a related engineering development and/or production program.
- Integrated hardware and software systems with a high degree of complexity.
- Knowledgeable of defense contracting and finance, including Earned Value (EIA-748).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Experienced with MS Office and related software applications.
