Family Matters Therapy and Wellness is looking for part-time therapists to work in both our Andersonville and Kenilworth locations. You may work as few as 10 hours a week with potential for more as our practice and referral list is always growing. You must have experience working with children and teens. Understanding IEP's and the importance of having school communication and family work is a plus!
It is important to our practice for candidates to be LGBTQA+ affirming and have experience in this area or willingness to learn. Provisionally licensed clinicians will only be considered with the experience we are looking for and previous experience doing psychotherapy is a must. Preference will be given to individuals who are fully licensed. We are a very nurturing and caring practice who puts clients first as well as having a connection within our communities.
- Provide therapy, counseling, and crisis intervention to clients and their families
- Represent the practice with integrity, kindness and authenticity
- Current State of Illinois fully licensed clinician (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, Psy.D, Ph.D.) is preferred. License must be active and unrestricted. Provisionally licensed individuals (LPC, LSW) will be considered with private practice experience with working with children, teens, families and LGBTQ. Supervision provided if requested.
- Minimum of a Master's degree in the field of Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
- At least 1 year of experience providing psychotherapy.
- Clinician must possess a warm, compassionate, attuned, engaging, non-defensive, and non-judgmental style with the desire and skills to build strong and secure relationships with clients.
- Previous experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community, children and youth a plus.
- Work with families, blended families, estranged families and LGBTQA+ families a plus.
- You will be required to work at least 1 out of 3 weekend days - Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
- Available for seeing clients in-person and telehealth. Must have reliable transportation as well as a working device and internet at home for telehealth appointments.
- Expected pay will be between $55-$70 per session depending on license and experience.
