We are looking to add a member to our fast-paced pediatric dental practice team!
Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED certificate. In addition, preferred candidates will have proven experience scheduling and patient interaction in a medical or dental practice.
Candidates with dental assistant training would be a great fit for this position, and opportunities may be available to assist clinically may be available.
Our office treats patients in-office Monday-Thursday, and we are typically closed on Fridays. However, you may be asked to work Fridays occasionally.
Duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, and forward calls, providing information, taking messages, and scheduling appointments.
- Greet visitors and callers, handle their inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
- Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented.
- Memorize and use scripts effectively both over the phone and in person.
- File and maintain records.
- Collect, sort, distribute, and prepare mail, messages, and courier deliveries.
- Input data into computer by typing with minimal errors.
- Provide information about the practice, such as the office's location, employees within the organization, or services provided.
- Preparing and presenting patient and office production statistics and reports.
- Transmit information or documents to patients using computer, mail, or facsimile machine.
- Balance credit transactions and provide basic financial clerical support duties.
- Present cases to patients.
- Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.
- Maintain regular attendance and adhere to assigned work schedule and office policies.
- Must be able to handle multiple deadlines and task assignments comfortably and efficiently.
- Must be able to work independently and cooperatively in team settings.
- Occasionally there may be some travel, by car or plane, required to participate in continuing education or seminars.
- Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
