Duties
- Evaluate patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions to determine their occupational therapy needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans to help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities and regain independence
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including exercises, activities, and adaptive equipment
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to ensure coordinated care for patients
- Educate patients and their families on strategies for managing their conditions and maximizing their functional abilities
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records timely
--The position requires occasional to frequent lifting up to 75-100 pounds and carrying of up to 30 pounds; prolonged standing; frequent walking, stooping and squatting. Fine hand dexterity, eye-hand coordination, the ability to receive oral and written communication, and to communicate verbally and in writing are also necessary. The visual ability to monitor instruments, computers and equipment, recognize alphanumeric characters, distinguish colors and observe physical characteristics are essential to this position.
Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in geriatric population is a plus
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Excellent patient service skills and the ability to provide compassionate care
- Familiarity with occupational health and safety practices

Pay: $90,864.00 - $104,531.00 per year
