The Residential Providers Association of Minnesota is a nonprofit organization driven by a steadfast commitment to inform, educate, and advocate for providers who serve individuals within the mental health, disability, and elderly communities. Due to recent legislative changes, it’s now more than ever that we need to come together as a union to help put forth our issues and concerns. Through political advocacy, building relationships with local stakeholders, and supporting each other as members of a small business community, we will preserve our ability to deliver essential care and assistance to our communities.
Position Overview
The Executive Director will oversee the strategic and operational initiatives of our organization. This leader will work to align organizational objectives with industry trends and the challenges of our members, seeking to bring positive change for our stakeholders. Using clear communication and decisive leadership, the Executive Director will oversee the strategic direction, financial activities, community engagement, and daily operations of the organization.
For the right person, we can be flexible regarding scheduling. This position could be either Full-time or Part-time depending on your availability and commitments.
Role Responsibilities
● Strategic Direction
o Work closely with stakeholders, informing, assessing, and addressing issues that affect the organization
o Work with the board of directors to plan, organize, and direct the organization’s strategic initiatives
o Produce reports on progress and results of strategic initiatives for board of directors
● Financial and Fundraising Activities
o Develop an actionable plan for fundraising and managing monthly cash flow
o Set and meet aggressive annual fundraising goals to secure financial support from foundations, corporations, individuals, and government funding sources
o Work with staff and board on annual benefit and additional fundraising events, and oversee all external communication materials including website, marketing materials, newsletters and social media content
● Community Engagement
o Represent the organization and increase awareness by being the spokesperson and liaison with local media
o Actively participate in external events, both increasing visibility, credibility, and brand in the market, and developing strategic partnerships to increase community awareness and expand the program
● Daily Operations
o Oversee the daily operations of the organization, providing executive direction of all program strategy, compliance, quality assurance, and efficiency
o Identify and implement staffing requirements for efficient operations, maintaining a strong culture and work climate that attracts and retains staff, and drives the organization’s mission
o Manage a culturally diverse staff, clientele and community whose skills, cultures and spoken languages reflect the communities RPAMN serves
o Comply with all federal, state, and local legislation
Qualifications and Skills
- 3+ years of leadership experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, advanced degrees are a plus
- Experience in assisted living or other disability services a plus
- Experience fundraising and managing budgets a plus
- Experience with public relations and marketing a plus
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with innovative approach to business planning
- Dynamic and charismatic team player who enjoys being the face of an organization

Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
