Automotive Mechanic / Service Technician needed. Job Requirements: Auto Technician will be responsible for performing and be versatile in basic automotive services while in compliance with policies, procedures, and quality standards as well as, all municipal, state, and federal regulations. Desired Technician/Mechanic is expected to be productive and comply with company safety, loss prevention, and customer service programs. The auto technician will be responsible for performing auto and truck repair and automotive maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Candidate will also oversee the work of any apprentice mechanic assigned to him/her. Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Perform general maintenance and diagnostics in order to accurately and efficiently diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair. Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts. Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required. Document work performed. Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician, keeping in mind that the customer vehicle should not be used for personal errands. Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned. Ensure that customers cars are kept clean.
Auto repair experience required! ASE, mechanics and/or manufacturing training. High school diploma or the equivalent. Mechanic should have Valid drivers license and a good driving record. Manual dexterity. Ability to be analytical and multi-task. Good work ethic and dependable. All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA. All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.
Job Responsibilities: Clearly write and communicate needed repairs/maintenance and the parts and time needed to repair Repair broken or worn mechanical and technology components Install equipment, components, and systems Test vehicles both before and after repair Repair electrical wiring, circuits and fixtures Keep shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all company-owned tools at all times. Must understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes. Other duties may be assigned according to expertise and certifications.
