The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the position of Adjunct Instructor. This position will instruct students in the field of Middle Eastern and North African Studies. This is a non-tenure eligible position for Fall 2024 and Spring 2024. The position is in the School of Middle Eastern and North African Studies in the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences.

Duties & Responsibilities
The School of Middle Eastern and North African Studies at the University of Arizona seeks an adjunct instructor to provide part time instruction for MENAS major and minor students to teach elementary and intermediate courses (Persian 101 and Persian 401 in the fall and Persian 102 and Persian 402 in the spring). Elementary courses are five units each, and intermediate courses are three units each. contingent upon availability of funding.
Duties and Responsibilities include:

Instruct undergraduate students in field of expertise

Plan class lectures and assignments

Grade assigned papers and exams

Hold regular office hours

Assign grades to students, based upon performance in class assignments and exams

Attend meetings as required
Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:

Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teaching experience at college or university level.
