Job Overview:
The mission of Joseph House is to meet the needs of military veterans and their families affected by addiction within the Greater Cincinnati region; providing counseling, education and support to help clients recover, reintegrate and thrive in the community while maintaining a healthy, sustainable lifestyle.
Our organization is seeking a Licensed Therapist or Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, mental health, and or addiction. The candidate will have experience in providing direct services to clients who have struggled with mental health, addiction, and homelessness. The Licensed Therapist or Social Worker will be responsible for providing quality behavioral services to veterans, assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, and coordinating with other agencies to ensure that clients receive the necessary services for a successful life. Additionally, the Licensed Therapist or Social Worker will provide community outreach and engage with community providers and attend outreach events.
Responsibilities:
- Complete a biopsychosoical assessment upon admission
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' needs
- Provide weekly individual counseling sessions
- Facilitate/co-facilitate educational, behavioral health, and skill-building groups
- Provide couple's/family therapy as dictated by the client's needs
- Participate in weekly staff and clinical meetings
- Complete documentation in a timely manner (assessments, treatment plans, group notes, individual notes, court updates)
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed
- Assist clients in accessing resources and services to meet client needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Stay current on best practices in therapy and counseling
- Attend Veteran’s Treatment Court and interact with the judges and treatment teams.
- Travel out into the community and develop/strengthen relationships with community providers.
- Participate in community outreach events.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree - Required
Master's Degree - Preferred
Professional License: LSW, LISW, LISW-S, LPC, LPCC, LPCC-S, LCDC II, LCDC III, LICDC, LICDC-S
