This position can be a part time or full time position and has the convenience of a FLEXIBLE schedule. We offer SIGNING and REFERRAL bonuses of $250 EACH!
JOB SUMMARY
Will work on and complete various projects in the areas of carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing and general maintenance. Must work independently to complete a variety of construction and maintenance projects within set deadlines given by management. Communicate each day’s activities, project progress, and problems that occur to the other shifts using approved hotel communication programs and standards. Lead projects by directing maintenance staff to accomplish deadlines and project goals.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- 4 years of experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC/electrical/plumbing
Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, construction, architectural finishes and general maintenance trades.
- Knowledge of the tools, machinery equipment, materials related to trades.
- Attention to detail: Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
- Problem solving: Takes a systematic approach to solving problems rather than reacting to symptoms
- Analytical Thinking: The ability to tackle a problem by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach
- Communication: Oral and written
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Light work-exerting up to 70lbs of force occasionally, and/or 40lbs of force frequently or consistently to lift, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, and pulling.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance.
- Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
- The frequent physical demands of the position are standing, walking, climbing, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, and eye/hand/foot coordination.
