The Rocky Mountain Veterans Advocacy Project is hiring a paralegal (1-2 years experience) in our family law section. Qualified applicants will be familiar with motions, courtroom proceedings, and client interviewing and vetting, as well as all peripheral aspects of family law and estate planning. Experience in veterans law and VA claims is useful, but not a must. Ideal applicants will be familiar with case management software, client billing, and client outreach. As a 501(c)3 dealing exclusively with veterans and first responders, veteran applicants or applicants familiar with military practices will be given hiring preference. ```Responsibilities```
- Coordinate and schedule appointments and meetings
- Answer and direct phone calls with professionalism and courtesy
- Review, write, and transcribe documents as needed
- Conduct research using legal databases such as Westlaw
- Assist with project management tasks and ensure deadlines are met
- Maintain organized filing systems for legal documents
- Interview clients and gather necessary information for cases
