Senior Citizens, Inc. is looking for a part-time meal delivery driver to join our team! The work schedule is delivering meals around lunch time on Tuesdays and Thursdays weekly serving Camden County Georgia and surrounding areas. This position requires drivers to adhere to an assigned schedule in order to deliver meals to individual home sites, volunteer drop off locations, or meal sites. In addition, drivers will be required to use their own vehicle for the work. Mileage reimbursement is available. The following qualifications are required for this position:
- Drive vehicle from central loading area to destinations assigned by program director.
- Load meals properly to ensure minimal spillage and adherence to food delivery guidelines.
- Communications with Director of Transportation to report disruption of service, client incidence, vehicle problems and other unusual occurrences.
- Delivers meals to individual home sites, drop off locations and/or meal sites.
- Keeps record of trips.
- Provide excellent customer services to both external and internal customers.
Other requirements for the position includes:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Georgia drivers license and clean motor vehicle record.
- Upper body strength, muscular endurance, and cardiovascular endurance is required to perform very heavy work.
- Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less.
- Ability to read and write.
