HOURS:* Weekday hours available, morning and afternoon.
This position requires the ability to commute to clients homes' within 30 miles of your location.
- Important to note: staff need to be able to work around pets (cats and dogs). Many, if not most, of our clients have pets in the home. If staff are not able to work around pets that will affect the number of hours they will be able to work. Staff are not required to care for the pets but they will be in client's homes.

They work 1:1 with individuals with Physical Disabilities, Mental Illness, and/or Developmental Disabilities throughout the community. IHS Specialists are an essential part of an individual’s ability to maintain community tenure and focus on empowering service recipients in the following core IHS areas: Community Participation; Adaptive Skills; Household Management; and Health, Safety, and Wellness.

- You have the dedication to provide culturally competent services to uphold each individual’s way of life, preferences, and daily choices
- You are willing to transport clients in your own vehicle (individuals may have walkers, wheelchairs, or other medical equipment) when deemed necessary.
Additional Information:
- BrightPath reimburses mileage for client transportation
- BrightPath attempts to group shifts within each day to a localized geographic area, but Caregivers should expect to commute throughout the metro area to assigned work sites

- Meal planning, preparation, and execution
- Encouraging health and wellness through utilizing a gym membership twice per week for regular exercise
- Planning activities in the community or at home that are unique to the person’s preferences and interests. The sky's the limit with this one! Caregivers model creative thinking and problem solving skills to support individuals in finding hobbies, passions, and meaningful activities to engage in.
- Household safety knowledge and overall self-preservation skills
