Surgery Veterinary Technician
Non-profit veterinary hospital in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a surgery technician for our high-volume surgery department. FCNMHP operates one of the largest spay/neuter facilities in the nation. We are seeking a surgery technician eager to apply his/her skills to a mission proven successful in reducing shelter deaths and improving the lives of underprivileged pets. First Coast No More Homeless Pets is a recognized leader in high quality, high volume spay/neuter programs and low-cost veterinary services.
Primary Duties will include but are not limited to:
-preparing surgical instruments
-surgical prep of patients
-pre and post op monitoring of patients
-assisting doctors as needed
-performing diagnostics and laboratory procedures
-nursing care for our patients
-assist with general hospital cleanliness
The ideal candidate must be able to multi task in a fast- paced environment, and have a positive, professional team-oriented attitude. Excellent time management skills and a strong work ethic is a must. A caring and compassionate attitude is required of all team members.
The mission of First Coast No More Homeless Pets is to make veterinary care affordable and accessible to all as we save lives by keeping dogs and cats in homes and out of shelters, provide low cost spay/neuter services with emphasis on feral/community cats, and deliver a broad range of related programs and services.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
