We are offering a training program to help you start a new career as Nurse Assistant in just 4 weeks and you get paid in the process!
The Nurse Aide in Training will provide assigned residents with non-clinical care and services in accordance with instructions given by the Certified Nurse Assistant and/or Charge Nurse until the completion of the training program. The purpose of this position is to successfully complete our CNA Training and become a Certified Nursing Assistant at CC Young! Applicants must be dedicated to attending class every day and have transportation to and from class daily. Essential Functions. In-Class Training Schedule: Monday- Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Once training has been completed the schedule will change. Being able to work any of the two following shifts, holidays and weekends are required: 7:00am- 3:00pm, 3:00pm-11:00pm or 11:00pm- 7:00am.
Completion of One- Way Interview is required for job consideration.
Responsibilities
- The purpose of this position is to participate and successfully complete our CNA class.
- Schedules will vary by facility needs.
- Applicants must be dedicated to attending class every day and have transportation to and from class daily.

- Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with resident care policy and procedure.
- Practice Universal Precautions and adhere to the Blood Borne Pathogen rules.
- Assist in customary daily requirements and tasks in care and treatment such as bathing, feeding, dressing, observing intake of food, care of hair, nails, moving residents from area to area, responding to calls, etc., which includes lifting, transferring.
- Measure and record vital signs as assigned by the Charge Nurse.
- Detect and report situations that may cause resident accidents or injuries.
- Observe and report symptoms, reactions, and changes of conditions to residents to nursing staff.
- Maintain care of equipment and supplies
- Work under the general direction and supervision of the Charge Nurse
- Walk with ambulatory residents or push in a wheelchair as required.
- It also involves the ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting more than 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Manual dexterity required performing tasks in assisting residents with their personal needs.
- Provide residents with safety and comfort.
- Comb hair and provide nail care (cannot use clippers,) of any assigned residents.
- Answer call lights in a timely manner, determine if the request does not involve direct care and then carry out request. Examples of non-direct care would be helping with TV, telephone, getting a personal item for a resident, giving them a blanket or pillow, giving them a food tray or snack, or refill water/ice.
- Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations.
- Observe all residents and report anything unusual or abnormal to Charge Nurse
- Bring residents to and from daily activities.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to effectively communicate.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the instructor.
Qualifications
- 6 months to 1 year of customer service or customer relations experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Must complete the one-way interview to be considered for the program.
- Previous CNA or CMA certification preferred.
