Waffle Cabin Attendant
This is a seasonal position starting 6/15/24 running through 10/7/24. The Waffle Cabin is only open Friday/Saturday/Sunday, so you must be available those days for this role. Dates and hours are subject to change based on weather conditions and needs of the business.
At Purgatory Resort, we're passionate about serving up delicious waffles. Our Waffle Cabin is a cozy haven where customers can indulge in mouthwatering waffles topped with a variety of delectable options. We believe in spreading happiness, one warm waffle at a time.
We are seeking a friendly and energetic individual to join our team as a Waffle Cabin Attendant. As a Waffle Cabin Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring that each customer receives exceptional service and enjoys a memorable experience at our Waffle Cabin. From preparing and serving waffles to maintaining cleanliness and providing a warm atmosphere, you'll play a key role in creating a positive environment for our customers.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their waffle toppings.

Proof waffle batter and cook waffles to perfection according to our recipes and standards.

Customize waffles with various toppings such as fruits, syrups, whipped cream, and more.

Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the Waffle Cabin at all times.

Maintain cleanliness of the exterior dining area at all times.

Keep track of inventory levels and replenish supplies as needed.

Engage with customers in a friendly manner, answer their questions, and address any concerns.

Uphold company policies and procedures at all times.

Ensure that all food products are stored and rotated properly to maintain freshness.

Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.

Collaborate with team members to maintain a cohesive and efficient workflow at all times.

Adhere to all food safety regulations and company policies to uphold health and safety standards.

Participate in training sessions and ongoing development opportunities to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively while maintaining a positive attitude.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain one.

Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating positive experiences for guests.

Willingness to learn and follow food safety and hygiene protocols.
Working Environment/Physical Activities:

Ability to stand for extended periods and move around the Waffle Cabin comfortably.

Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of supplies and equipment.

Proficiency in operating kitchen appliances such as waffle makers and utensils.

Comfortable working in a confined space with varying temperatures (due to cooking equipment).

Flexibility to bend, stoop, and reach to access ingredients and equipment.

Stamina to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Tolerance for exposure to potential allergens, including nuts, dairy, and gluten.

Willingness to adhere to proper food handling and safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure customer well-being.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, as some days we experience monsoon rains and you do have to walk outside as part of the job.
