Position Summary: The Assembly Technician contributes to JEM’s assembly process by assembling manifolds per
customer specifications.
Areas of Accountability:
1. Uses company intranet and business software to gather and record information per work instruction.*
2. Assemble products following the specifications and requirements of JEM and its customers. Confirms correct parts and quantity are pulled for jobs.*
3. Tests on automated benches and inspects products following specifications and requirements of JEM and its customers.*
4. Complies with JEM quality standards. Completes non-conformance records as needed.*
5. Prepares manifolds for assembly, stages jobs and moves assemblies as needed.*
6. Ensures assembly area is clean and orderly.*
7. Complies with all JEM policies and procedures, including ISO, OSHA, and AWAIR requirements.*
8. Supports JEM’s vision and mission, and exemplifies JEM’s core values daily. *
9. Maintains regular and predictable attendance.*
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- One to two years of work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic computer skills
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands:
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
