Our Housekeeping Aides performs the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing this facility, and as may be directed by the Director of Environmental Services and the Housekeeping Supervisor, to assure the facility is maintained in a clean, safe manner. We are always looking for positive, dependable, caring individuals to join our team to meet the growing demand in our community for quality care.
HOUSEKEEPING AIDE DUTIES INCLUDE:

Performs day to day housekeeping functions as assigned. Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing assignments in residents/patients living areas

Damp dust/polish furnishings, horizontal and vertical edges, etc. in resident rooms, recreational areas, etc. daily as instructed

Clean, wash, sanitize, and polish bathroom fixtures. Assures that water marks are removed from fixtures

Clean floors to include: sweeping, dust mopping, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting, etc. Assure that appropriate wet floor signs are properly set up prior to performing such duties

Clean carpets to include: vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.

Clean walls and ceilings clean by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, etc.

Remove dirt, dust, grease, film, etc. from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting, deodorizing solution

Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic liner

Empty ashtrays into appropriate metal containers with flame retardant liners and sanitize ashtrays on a daily basis
-
Assure that work/assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc. are properly stored at all times, as well as before leaving such areas for breaks, meal times, and end of the work day

Perform terminal cleaning procedures as directed when a resident is discharged and/or transferred to another room/area.

Remove all laundry, which includes bags of incontinent pads, briefs and transports to laundry.
