The Accounts Receivable/Billing Supervisor functions to assure prompt and accurate customer-centered services to patients, staff, and other customers in compliance with HIPAA, state and federal billing regulations, and GAAP procedures. The Accounts Receivable/Billing Supervisor is responsible for working with other staff, to ensure all services are billed properly and money is collected in a timely manner. The Accounts Receivable/Billing Supervisor is responsible for assuring compliance with all administrative processes and regulations that affect specialized billing, including updating NPI numbers, processing commercial insurance claims, contract analysis, tracking clinicians credential status, billing, collection and required specialized reporting. This position also oversees the billing staff for SBHI and is a working supervisor delegating work roles and duties for staff. This position is also responsible for ongoing relationship with Behavioral Health Billing Services (BHBS) and ensuring that credentialing, and CareLogic billing codes are kept updated consistently.
