FORECLOSURE LITIGATION PARALEGAL
Sottile & Barile, LLC is a full-service creditors’ rights law firm looking for a paralegal with 3 to 5 years of experience in the foreclosure area, in its Loveland, Ohio location. The paralegal is responsible for preparing demand letters, complaints, motions for default judgments and other legal documents pertaining to foreclosure filings. Additionally, the paralegal will have experience in handling contested litigation, calendaring deadlines, scheduling hearings, depositions and mediations. Job Requirements
- Understand and demonstrate the principles of the Company’s Mission, Vision and Values.
- Prepare Demand letters, Complaints, Service documents, Motions for Default Judgments.
- Coordinating with Judges, Opposing Counsel, Clients and other legal positions.
- Review dockets for complaint filing dates, service of process dates and judgment dates.
- Updating client files in the firm’s database.
- Organizing client files and collecting data to be entered in the firm’s database.
- Analyzing data for errors
- Verify data by comparing it to source documents
- Accurately entering information into various computer programs
- Keeping sensitive client information confidential.
- Adhere to FDCPA and state and federal laws and regulations.
- Perform various Debt Collector administrative duties.
- Comply with policies and procedures as required.
- Successfully complete training and certifications.
Job Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalency required.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a foreclosure department of a law firm.
- Ability to read, write and speak fluent English.
- Strong written, verbal, active listening and phone communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Detailed oriented.
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and multi-task.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
- Ability to use standard office equipment. Basic computer skills, ability to use a keyboard and calculator.
- Basic technical phone skills.
- Basic ability to use internet and web mail for business purposes.
- Ability to refer to policy and procedures when applying information and making decisions.
