JOB TITLE: Assistant Store Manager

We are currently seeking a Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help manage our two Denver stores, in RINO (2500 Larimer) and at Base Camp (1641 Market).
The Topo Designs Retail Assistant Store Manager (ASM) will work directly with the Store Manager to deliver an exceptional customer experience, develop strong community relationships, and authentically communicate the brand message.
The ASM demonstrates initiative, problem-solving ability, dependability, respect, and accountability. They have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, are flexible, and provide complete follow-through in all areas of responsibility.
SALARY RANGE: $55K annually plus potential quarterly bonus, contingent on achieving business targets. Fringe benefits up to another $5,000-8,000.
Experience/ Education Requirements:
1-2 years experience in retail leadership
Qualifications / Skills:
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Must be an excellent problem solver with strong project management skills
Possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate with confidence to both internal and external customers
Responsibilities:
- Assist Store Manager with providing a strong leadership presence and control in store, while ensuring that all customers receive good service and quality merchandise
- Assist in the training of Sales Associates
- Drive sales to meet goals and targets
- Identify opportunities to drive traffic into the store through in-store and local community events
- Assist Store Manager in partnering with local businesses to increase sales, drive/promote merchandise, and expand customer base
- Develop a vital customer base through active outreach, building, and maintain relationships
- Maintain a neat, clean salesfloor and work space that accurately reflects the brand
- Maintain an organized and efficient stockroom
- Consistently ensure security of product and merchandise
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Mastery of store POS system and office management software
- Regularly communicate with Store Manager to discuss strengths, opportunities, and trends in business
- Perform all duties as directed by supervisor
- Participate (with HR) in the hiring, training and development process of all new employees.
