What is KEIS?
The Kentucky Early Intervention System (KEIS), formerly known as First Steps, is Kentucky’s Early Intervention program mandated by Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). This federal Act mandates the provision of appropriate services for children and their families during the critical period of Birth to Three Years of age.
What is Little Leaps Pediatric Therapy?
Little Leaps Pediatric Therapy is a therapist-owned and operated LLC specifically targeted toward provision of therapies within the most natural and least restrictive environments. This is why we love contracting with KEIS! Research supports natural settings with caregiver involvement as highly facilitative of optimal therapeutic outcomes. For children within the 0-3 year age group, these settings may include homes, daycares, or community locations such as the local park or library.
Necessary Functions:
Provide early intervention services to children ages 0-3 years with a focus on caregiver coaching
- Educate caregivers on strategies and techniques to support child and family in meeting goals
- Target objectives as outlined in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
- Complete documentation as outlined by Kentucky Early Intervention System (KEIS)
- Attend meetings, as able, to collaborate with team members regarding specific IFSPs
Qualifications:
- Appropriate degree from an accredited program
- Valid state professional licensure
- Valid state driver's license
- Active professional malpractice insurance
- Ability to work independently, this is a 1099 Contractor position

- Successful candidates will be hired as 1099 Contractor with complete control of caseload sizes, days and hours worked, and service areas selected. NO RELOCATION OR TRAVEL REQUIRED. Candidates may chose to travel in the interest of increasing contracted service areas.
