We have an exciting opportunity open for a Training Content Developer with the opportunity to work remote from one of the following states: AR, TX, OK, SC, TN, KS, LA, FL, ME or MO.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This Role will work closely with the technical training department as well as other subject matter experts from various departments to create training documents, job aides and manuals to continue to build out Summit’s ever growing Training Library. In this position the employee will play a crucial role in training strategy and planning to increase the department’s overall effectiveness.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop enterprise application training within SAP Enable Now and Absorb.

Work collaboratively with subject matter experts to design and develop training materials.

Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees and customers in a wide range of platforms.

Develop interactive simulations, video tutorials, and documentation that align with organizational processes and workflows.

Create job aides that support operations efforts in a wide range of topics.

Develops unique training programs to fulfill workers specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.

Update existing training documents as changes occur.

Update the storage of training materials on the company intranet as well as within SAP where applicable.

Assesses training materials prepared by instructors.

Prepare reports on training effectiveness, user feedback, and platform usage metrics.

Work with individuals from each department to standardize our training methods and test their effectiveness and make appropriate recommendations.

Uploading and managing forms, manuals, policies, and procedures on Summit’s intranet site, other SharePoint sites and updating Management of Change Applications.

Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

At least 3 years of instructional design experience required.

College degree required.

Proficient with instructional design software, such as Captivate and/or Articulate.

Eye for design, well-written content, and high-value production.

Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

SAP and/or Utilities experience is a plus.

Demonstrates effective communication with all levels of management including executives.

Business partner mentality with ability to support the technical training department and operations as needed.

Strong ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects successfully while maintaining an even-keel approach and commitment to deadlines.

Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.

Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.

Ability to design and implement effective training and development.

Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.

Basic video editing skills, graphic design, web design skills preferred.
