Summary
Directs, supervises, and coordinates the functions and activities of the assigned unit(s). Responsible for overall management and coordination of the service to include fiscal resource management, human resource management, capital improvements and quality of services
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
3-5 years clinical experience related to nursing area of management. Minimum of 1-year management or management-related experience. Nursing certification preferred. : Demonstrated leadership characteristics. Working knowledge of budgets, staffing, Performance Improvement as well as regulatory requirements. Strong interpersonal skills required. Knowledge of age-specific considerations for patients served. Must be knowledgeable of the N.C. Nurse Practice Act. Work requires long periods of standing, walking or sitting and occasional assistance with heavy lifting. May be required to work variable shifts on occasion. Must have command of the English language and possess visual and auditory acuity for accurate patient assessment. Position may involve skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious material.
Licensed Registered Nurse required.
