Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services is currently hiring a part time Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the Toby and Leon Cooperman Therapy and Resource Center. This position will perform various duties including, but not limited to, providing quality/ethical clinical services, maintaining a positive attitude towards others, developing/maintaining relationships with clients, families and other professionals, and providing direct behavioral analysis services to children and families at the Center (individual and group) and in home or school as needed for short term, specific services. The BCBA will work with children (0-22 yrs.) with a variety of special needs diagnoses/disorders, utilizing innovative therapy approaches including co-treatments and collaborating with other professionals (such as PT’s, OT’s, SLP’s, and clinical when applicable) to help children meet their full potential.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Provide high quality ABA services to children with a variety of special needs and their families. Daily tasks include completing assessments, developing and running groups and parent/professional trainings, developing behavioral treatment plans, staff/teacher training, parent training, meeting and collaborating with other professionals, participating clinical meetings, supervising RBTs, etc. Provide interactive and lecture based parent training (in 1:1 and monthly group structure), as well as consultations with local schools. Must have a can-do attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced and fun environment.
Required Education & Experience:
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in related discipline
- Certification as a BCBA in good standing
- Experience performing evaluations and ongoing assessments
- · Minimum 3 years’ experience providing parent training and supervising RBTs
- Skilled in writing reports, treatment plans, collecting data, and establishing goals
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with children across a spectrum of disabilities and special needs
- Demonstrates comfortability engaging with children of various needs and abilities
- Flexibility to meet the needs of others and the team and work as part of a multidisciplinary clinic.
- Ability to communicate with others with respect, encouragement, open-mindedness, and provide supportive feedback.
