Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Petroleum Engineer with specialized experience in CO2 enhanced oil recovery (EOR) flooding . The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of reservoir engineering, EOR techniques, and the practical application of carbon capture technology. Proficiency in Tempest MORE by Aspen Tech is essential for simulation and project optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and optimize CO2 EOR flooding projects to enhance oil recovery while ensuring environmental compliance.
Develop and evaluate CCS strategies to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions effectively.
Utilize Tempest MORE for dynamic reservoir simulation, forecasting, and project planning.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate EOR and CCS solutions into existing and new projects.
Conduct risk assessments and feasibility studies for proposed projects.
Stay abreast of technological advancements and regulatory changes in the EOR and CCS domains.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in petroleum engineering with a focus on CO2 EOR flooding and carbon capture sequestration.
Demonstrated expertise in using Tempest MORE by Aspen Tech for reservoir simulation and analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of reservoir dynamics and fluid properties.
