The responsibility of teachers at The Acorn School is to support the emotional, physical, cognitive, and social needs of the children as well as cover necessary working hours in the classroom, collaborate with other Acorn teachers and administration, and cultivate positive relationships with parents. Candidates should possess a deep respect for the rights of the child and appreciate play - based, constructivist learning environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
*Must have experience working in the early childhood education field or education in the field
*Must meet Colorado Child Care State Licensing standards as an Early Childhood Teacher
*Must have a passion for teaching in this field
*Must be a team player and willing to support fellow teachers and staff

* Earned 48 hours of paid sick leave in the first year of employment in addition to planned closure dates.
* Paid hours during Holiday Closures for full time teachers after 90 days of employment:

Presidents Day Closed
Spring Break Closed for 5 days
Memorial Day Closed
Summer Break Closed for 3 days
