Ambitions of Idaho is looking for compassionate, responsible individuals to work one on one with a individual’s in need of recovery support services. Applicant must already have taken and passed the test for Idaho Certified Peer Support Specialist or be IBADCC certified as a Recovery Coach. The Peer/Recovery Specialist will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate and motivator to individuals who are currently in treatment for mental health, substance use or co -occurring conditions.
Typically, you would start out part-time to make sure to be trained properly and then have an opportunity to grow to full time if desired.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current certification as a peer support specialist through the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (DHW) is required. This means you must hold full certification or a 6-month certification and be working toward obtaining the required 100 or 200 hours of work/volunteer based on your education.
Recovery Coaches must be certified through the IBADCC or hold a current provisional certificate.
