HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE (Overview & Key Responsibilities):
As a Packaging Lab Technician, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate execution of test procedures. Essential job functions related to the position include:

Preparations of test specimens for packaging testing.

Performance and verification of packaging testing / measurement activities per test plan, published standard, customer protocol and/or SOP for each test.

Detailed documentation of test results on lab worksheet or notebook.

Communication of test status and providing feedback on issues found within tests and tasks to Project Managers, Lab Supervisors and/or Lab Manager.

Repacking of test samples after testing is complete.

Identify, recommend and assist with process / equipment improvements for set-ups and test methods.

Keeping training logs and SOP, work instruction, and test method readership up to date. Provide training to other technicians for test procedures and methods as required.

Ensure that the lab remains clean, organized and report any safety concerns to the Lab Supervisors or Lab Manager.

Management of multiple projects/tests at any one time ensuring all commitments are met.

Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
-
1-2 years of laboratory experience desired. Package Testing experience preferred.

Instron experience a plus, but not required
-
Microsoft Office, computer literate
-
Fluent in English
-
Ability to perform repeated bending and lifting up to 30 lbs. and occasional lifting of 30 to 50 lbs.
