The United States University has opening for a Curriculum /Assessment Specialist.
The Curriculum/ Assessment Specialist is responsible for assisting with the planning, organization, analysis, and coordination of learning outcomes assessment efforts to support student success. The Curriculum/Assessment Specialist will primarily support assessment efforts by gathering, organizing, and providing data to support the assessment of student learning, academic decision-making, program review, program development, academic decision-making, accreditation, and strategic planning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attention to detail, project documentation, and document process management
- Coordinate internal resources for the flawless execution of projects
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Compile, interpret, and report on academic data associated with accreditation, curriculum development, curriculum evaluation, learning outcomes, and other institutional and instructional areas
- Work closely with key university departments to coordinate data collection
- Report recommendations and implications to college administrators and curriculum team
- Prepare quality reports utilizing the prescribed style and formatting guide, including tables, charts, and graphs
- Provide administrative support to academics, with a focus on maintaining the accuracy of university policy
- Ability to self-manage projects and utilize time management skills
- Communicate effectively and keep the supervisor informed of progress
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure alignment with academic standards and learning objectives
- Maintain the integrity of academic policies
- Comfortability with working with various forms of technology to support online student learning and remote work environment communications
- Additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
- Proven experience in assessment design, development, and implementation.
Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of higher education or online learning experience
- 3+ years of administrative office experience
Remote Work Requirements
This job is fully remote. Employees must have a designated, private, quiet workspace. Remote employees are expected to be on camera for meetings and training sessions. Employees are responsible for abiding by all FERPA privacy laws within their home-work environment. While employees will have some flexibility to work with their manager and determine their schedules, all work must be completed during standard workweek hours; employees are not permitted to work evenings or weekends as a standard schedule.
Work Environment
The job's essential functions are usually performed in an environmentally controlled facility where the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This position may involve working in a combination of office and classroom environments. While performing the job duties, the employee must sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee may sometimes be required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
