This is a mixed role between performing a variety of landscaping services and managing a crew of 2-4 people. This is for someone who not only enjoys working in the outdoors, but also has the drive and skills to advance the production of other crews.
By using your creativity and problem solving skills you will be working along side the owner to improve the service that is being provided to our clients.
The way we go about providing excellent service is by making sure crews have the resources and support they need to accomplish their tasks.
As you grow in this position, you will influence the direction of the company and the impact that is made in the lives of our employees, and the landscapes of our clients.
Job Role and Responsibilities
- Leading a crew of 2-4 people from start to finish of a softscape or hardscape project
- Available before/ after crews on a daily basis as needed
- Arrive 30 minutes prior to that of production staff
- Monitor weather for effects on schedule
- Work with Crew members to make sure they have equipment, material, and team members to complete an assigned task
- Communicate with scheduler of the status of jobs
- Provide encouragement to crews and rewards for going above and beyond
Administrative
- Accountable for billable hrs and if crews are on schedule or if they will need to work longer days/ Saturday, and communicate that to scheduler and crew leaders
- Part of management team that is working with owner to create and adjust best practices.
- Provide regular updates to include:
A. People (attitude, hrs, competency)
B. Processes (completion, effectiveness)
C. Schedule (Timely, capacity)
D. Equipment/ Product (Any issues, plan on new)
