Austin Staffing, Inc. Is now hiring experienced warehouse associates in Georgetown, TX.
We are seeking warehouse professionals who have achieved proficient skills within the overall functions associated with a warehouse operation. The Warehouse Associate job duties include supporting the warehouse by preparing, processing and moving inventory productively, safely, and accurately per established standards and guidelines.
Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of warehouse experience which includes Forklift Operation.
Shift: First shift Mon-Fri (OT included as needed)
Pay: $18-$20 hr.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Stacks and stores merchandise in designated areas using a forklift, clamp, push-pull or other powered equipment
- Pulls and prepares products for shipment
- Performs picking duties in an efficient manner meeting customer service standard
- Moves product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers
- Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
- Material handling & warehousing duties including; receiving, inspecting, storing, picking, packing, shipping, and delivering material.
- Maintains records of received & shipped goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.
- Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
- Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.
- Prepares kitting packages for assembly or shipping.
- Maintains inventory accuracy within established guidelines.
- Other activities include data entry and cycle counting to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Clean-up and general housekeeping are required which may include dusting, sweeping, mopping, and removing boxes and clutter from the work areas.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Completion of High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- Two years minimum of related industry experience required
- Pass and maintain organizational forklift certification.
- Experience with using UPS World ship/ FEDEX and/or DHL package shipping systems, a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Basic computer skills with Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with co-workers and management.
