The INSTITUTE FOR MULTICULTURAL COUNSELING AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES (I.M.C.E.S.) is a non-profit community clinic established in 1989. I.M.C.E.S. has been operating based on mission and value-driven and outcome-based service delivery to the community since its inception. I.M.C.E.S. provides a spectrum of comprehensive mental health services to underserved/ under-resourced individuals with mental health challenges. Services are designed for children, youth, and adults.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health services to clients. The Licensed Clinician will assess clients' needs, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions to promote recovery and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conducted comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and developed individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy, to address clients' mental health concerns.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and case managers, to ensure coordinated and integrated care for clients.
- Monitor clients' progress in treatment, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide ongoing support and guidance to facilitate recovery.
- Document client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and by agency policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards in providing mental health services.
- Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (L.C.S.W.), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (L.M.F.T.), or Licensed Professional Counselor (L.P.C.) in the state of California.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience providing mental health services in an outpatient setting.
- Proficiency in conducting diagnostic assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Familiarity with online health records systems (e.g., E.X.Y.M.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with clients.
- Knowledge of mental health laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing clinical therapy practice.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive care to clients.
- Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion in the delivery of mental health services.
