JOB SUMMARY
The RN or LPN position is responsible for providing quality care to our pediatric patients and exhibiting professional, courteous, and compassionate behavior. Duties include rooming and evaluating patients, taking history, performing evaluation such as temperature, height, weight, head circumference, blood pressure and pulse. Responsible for medical chart documentation, maintaining medical supplies and stocking rooms. We are also in need of an additional referral nurse. This position is responsible for coordination of care between patients, primary care and specialists.
The RN or LPN position also includes performing but not limited to the following procedures:
- Pediatric venipuncture
- O2 saturation
- Bladder catheterization
- Ear irrigation
- Obtaining pediatric vital signs (newborn-adults) and patient history.
- Collecting and preparing lab specimens.
- Administering immunizations and antibiotics injections
- Educate and assist patients/parents.
- Procedures such as spirometry testing, flu and strep swabs, nebulizer treatments, urinalysis, lipid testing, lead testing and hemoglobin testing.
- Enhances professional growth and development by attending meetings, seminars, conferences, continuing education courses, etc.
Required Experience and Traits
- Current Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
- BLS certification
- Self-motivated
- Strong team player
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Able to handle multiple tasks at once
- Organizational skills
- Demonstrate strong computer skills (eClinicalWorks experience a plus)
- Able to work well under pressure while maintaining quality care and efficient patient flow

Hours
We are open 6 days a week
Weekday hours: Full time staff work 4 days a week, 8:00am-5:00pm
Weekend hours: Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm. Weekend shifts are variable and shared between the nursing team.
