Job Description:
As a Building Maintenance Technician at Leonard's Palazzo, you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep, safety, and functionality of our venue. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to maintain the appearance and functionality of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of the building premises to identify any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, and other building equipment.
- Repair and maintain building systems, including but not limited to, lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and plumbing.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff members and guests, and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform minor carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs as needed.
- Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are followed at all times, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including moving furniture and equipment as needed.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inventory of supplies.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance tasks and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including storage areas and maintenance facilities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trade certification or vocational training in a relevant field (e.g., HVAC technician, electrician, plumber).
- Previous experience working in a hospitality or event venue setting.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to building maintenance.
