The CNG Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and optimization of the CNG facility. This role ensures that the CNG facility operates safely and efficiently, while meeting the organization’s objectives for performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Personnel Management:

Oversee the daily operations
-
Ensure all equipment and systems are functioning efficiently and safely

Implement and monitor operational procedures to maximize uptime and performance

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with compression systems
-
Coordinate and oversee repairs to minimize downtime
-
Ensure all compression operations comply with safety standards and protocols to protect personnel and equipment
-
Mange relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure timely support and supply of parts and services related to compression systems

Coordinate scheduling of maintenance, repairs, and inspections with third-party service providers to ensure minimal disruption to facility operations

Communicate with vendors to confirm availability and schedule services as required

Prepare accurate invoices for CNG and ensure invoices are submitted to customers on time

Track key metrics such as compression capacity, throughput, and downtime to evaluate the effectiveness of the compression systems
Plant Performance:

Manages compression station operations and personnel

Provides feedback to senior management regarding plant performance

Maintains adequate systems knowledge and provides support to VP of CNG

Assists with inventory management

Evaluates daily, weekly, and monthly plant reporting as required by plant and/or Director of CNG
- Ensures that daily, weekly, monthly functions to be performed at each plant are performed as required

Coordinates safety initiatives with the director of safety and implements as instructed

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of CNG systems and technology

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Ability to respond on a 24/7 basis to emergency situations

Ability to attain necessary certifications to ensure plant success

Ability to speak clearly, professionally, and eloquently, with the ability to be responsive
- Ability to handle multiple demands at one time
Education, Certification, Licenses Required:
-
An associate’s degree or high school diploma/GED with at least five (5) years experience in facilities management, preferably in the energy or transportation sectors; or a combination of experience and education that results in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Proven experience in managing CNG or similar refueling stations is highly desirable

Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Physical, Mental, Behavioral Requirements:

This role requires a mix of office work and on-site presence at CNG facilities
-
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch
- Regularly and safely lifts, carries, and handles supplies and equipment weighing at least 20 - 50 pounds

Must pass pre-employment screening and background check
-
Position may require working evening hours and weekends as needed
- Work is normally performed outside where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes, gases and airborne particles is common
