Hybrid Role (Partially Onsite-Partially Remote): We are currently looking for a Full Time Environment and Release Manager to join our MITA Environment and Release Team team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center.
Summary:
Defines, develops, and implements the Epic change control and the Epic change management processes for the Epic Department. The Environment and Release Manager coordinates key Epic environment activities, including Epic updates, upgrades, and build migration between the Epic environments, in addition to providing direct supervision to the Epic Technical Operations Team.
Epic Applications: Data Courier Certification - Must be completed within 90 days of hire.
Responsibilities:
- Directly manages the Epic Technical Operations Team, including database administrators, hyperspace deployment administrators, and web and service server administrators
- Manages multiple Epic environments and ensuring that they are maintained
- Works with subject matter experts and leadership to identify and review the appropriate technological solutions for various business needs
- Collaborates to achieve technology operations of a state-wide technology network, including electronic health records, population health, healthcare analytics, and business intelligence systems to advance the goals
- Serves as the main point of contact for technical issues and general questions related to assigned applications
- Works with Epic representatives and end users to ensure the system meets the organization's business needs regarding the project deliverables and timeline
- Escalates end-user problems to the appropriate level when necessary
- Validates that software solutions are complete and appropriately implemented
- Establishes a sign-off process for Epic's Release Authorizations (RA)
- Develops, communicates, and manages the Epic environment strategy, including data migration methods and schedules
- Definition, adoption, and consistent execution of system requirements, communication, change management, issues management, and post-implementation support
- Designs data migration strategies and manages large data loads
- Consults with the other Applications Managers and advanced leadership to drive optimization and performance of healthcare technology systems, e.g., EHR, analytics, and business intelligence
- Collaborates to provide technical leadership for the implementation and support of software applications, enhancements, and modifications for legacy systems and in scoping, implementation planning, and conversion to new systems
- Participates in regional and national Epic User Groups to share best practices and collaborate on new and enhanced products
- Configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting issues related to the Data Courier interfaces
- Manages the migration and troubleshooting of application build across Epic environments
- Maintaining Data Courier interfaces and protection settings per policies and procedures
- Instruct application analysts on Data Courier and import/export functionality
- Serves on and/or leads department meetings, committees, and/or workgroups as assigned
- Maintain knowledge of and enforce all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
- Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
- Ensures employees and resources complete assigned training and development

- 5 years directly related management experience
- A minimum of 2 years of project management experience

- Bachelors Degree in directly related field

- Bachelor's degree in Clinical, Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Computer Systems, Business Administration, or another related field is required
Credentials:

- Standard Driver's License
- Pass general background check
- Completion of the Sphinx Assessment
- Epic module certification as assigned
- Epic Data Courier Certification
Nonessential:
- Cert Associate in Healthcare Information and Mgmt Systems
