PAY: $24.50-$26/hour

Job Description:
For hundreds of families, the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank is the first place they visit when they need a little extra help. In addition to providing our community with basic needs – food, clothing, and hygiene supplies – we provide heart, hope and comfort. Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank has a long history of supporting individuals and families with case management support beyond distributing basic supplies.
The Resource Navigator helps connect people in need to the right resources. Whether our clients need help securing a replacement ID to apply for a job, assistance with applying for benefits, or a referral for housing, IFCB works to connect them with the resources they need. Because the Resource Navigator is the primary point of contact for these clients, relationship building is key.
Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily in an office setting requiring sitting for extended periods, computer interfacing, attending meetings, and significant interaction with members of the public.
Position hours will be a combination of 3-day shifts (8:30 am – 4:30 pm) and 2 evening shifts (11:30am-7:30 pm), Monday-Friday. This position also requires some flexibility for additional evening and weekend outreach hours.
This position is an important part of a small, dynamic staff at Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank and may occasionally require working in the building on general operations, including receiving and distributing food, leading volunteer teams, and assisting with special programs as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Case Management
· Conduct individualized needs assessments, case management and advocacy with clients.
· Provide resource referrals.
· Advocate with other service providers or systems as needed.
· Assist with accessing services as needed (for example, social security benefits and EBT)
· Utilize evidence-based interventions as appropriate.
· Follow up with clients to ensure that individuals are successfully connected with services.
· Maintain accurate and timely records and case notes.
· Maintain connected relationships with partner providers.
General
· Support operations team by staffing 2 evening shifts (11:30AM-7:30PM) every other week.
· Participate in all-staff events, including staff meetings and occasional community events hosted by IFCB.
· Provide support to other staff members as needed.
· Staffing the front door for walk ups, helping with food/emergency clothing/mail/bus tickets and resource referrals.
· Supporting Client Service Volunteers
· Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
· Work collaboratively with volunteers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum 1-year experience, providing outreach to, direct service, and/or case management to underserved populations including those chronically unhoused, with behavioral health and substance use disorder needs.
· Mature, reliable person who can work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
· Working knowledge of local health and human service systems, including community mental health, substance use treatment, insurance benefits, and other human service programs.
· Proven ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and abilities.
· Experienced in Trauma Informed Care.
· Personable, courteous, patient, and able to positively interact with the public.
· Excellent oral & written communication skills.
· Demonstrated ability to maintain client confidentiality.
· Ability to take initiative.
· Ability to travel in King County.
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
· Degree in social work, related field or experience providing outreach to, direct service, and/or case management to underserved populations including those who are chronically unhoused, behavioral health and substance use disorder needs.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
· Bilingual (especially Spanish, Mandarin, and Russian).
· Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
· A valid Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or a valid Licensed Advanced Social Worker (LASW), or a valid Licensed Social Work Associate and Independent Clinical (LSWAIC), or a valid Licensed Social Work Associate and Advanced (LSWAA), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
