DC Inventory Control Team Lead
Classification: Hourly / non-exempt
Essential Functions
- Assist area supervisor in leading team through daily functions and continued best practices.
- Holds daily start-up huddles and periodic team meetings.
- Monitors team members’ efficiency, quality, and accuracy of work.
- Provide reporting to management team, read, and send emails to various business partners.
- Compiles, verifies, and reports daily and/or periodic statistical information to detect trends and to improve and maintain the overall health of inventory.
- Research variances to determine appropriate root cause whether process or behavior and logs the information for operational review.
- Counts and reconciles randomly chosen part numbers and/or locations.
- Assists in developing solutions to specific problem areas.
- Assists in execution of projects; makes recommendations for process improvement.
- Ensures compliance with inventory processes and contractual obligations.
- Ability to travel to and perform counts, storage maintenance, and other inventory duties at our off-site facility.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Values overall safety in the distribution center and reports food safety concerns to leadership team.
Qualifications
- Follow safety standards for lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Values customer satisfaction and cares about keeping products intact and avoiding damage.
- Use basic mathematical abilities to ensure accuracy.
- Use of scanner and basic computer skills.
- Operate material handling equipment such as but not limited to manual pallet jacks.
- Ability to be certified for the operation of a forklift and electric pallet jack.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work flexible schedules such as extended hours and weekends, with minimal advanced notice.
- Comfortable working in a distribution center environment with exposure to heat, cold, and noise.
- Able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills to ensure healthy partnerships with other team members and leaders.
