We are currently searching for a Journeyman Electrician and high level (fourth year) Apprentice to travel and work on various projects throughout the country. These positions are 100% travel nationwide with periodic return trips home. When traveling hotels and per diem are provided as well as accommodations to get you from your home city or airport to the location where the project is taking place, along with transportation when you arrive at your destination.
We are a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), based in Wisconsin, but servicing the entire country. Founded in 2013 as TLL, we grew and rebranded to TLL Solutions in 2019 to align with our expanding capabilities.
Our capabilities and extensive experience include lighting, electrical, HVAC and generator solution sets through specification, design, distribution, installation, project management and rebate administration. We have installation experience across a wide spectrum of project types and sizes, from a simple LED retrofit to an electrical line drop, to complete electrical gear replacement, to full generator replacements.
Key Requirements:
- Coachable
- Minimum of 2-years Journeyman experience in a commercial setting
- Onsite project management and crew lead experience
- Experience installing backup generators
- Experience with multiphase projects with controlled shutdowns
- Work with electrical gear up to 3000amps from all manufacturers
- Knowledge in using hand tools, electrical meter, and testing equipment
- Able to size conductors, conduits using NEC Code Book
- Experience working with 120/208, 480/277 VAC
- Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics
- Ability to install electrical equipment
- Ability to produce parts lists and work plans based off drawings or field walks and routing
- Ability to produce as-built drawing for work performed
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety with the ability to thoroughly evaluate job hazards and complete pre-work task planning with an emphasis on identifying electrical hazards and proper safety procedures
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in high elevation up to 80 ft
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with all levels of management
- Must have a high degree of initiative, and the ability to work alone and effectively with other people
- Trained and capable of operating: telehandler reach forklift, boom lift, scissor lift, forklift
- Ability to measure, cut and bend Electrical conduit 1/2'' to 4'' (EMT and PVC at minimum)
- Valid driver’s license
- Solar experience a plus
- Must have and trave with the following tools: wire strippers, lineman pliers, side cutters, adjustable pliers, needle nose pliers, utility knife, crescent wrench, tape measure, crimping tool, level, set of nut drivers (or multi-tool), phillips-head screwdriver, flat-head screwdriver, hacksaw, battery drill / impact driver, multi-bit set for drill/driver, tool pouch, tool bag, electrical voltmeter
