The Pricing Manager is responsible for developing and executing M&D Distributors pricing strategy for our product offering. This individual works closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance leaders. This individual will work continuously to enhance processes to best serve our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver business objectives through assigned projects while maintaining time, scope, quality, and budget.
- This position oversees one direct report that will execute price changes in ERP.
- Drive innovation within the Pricing and Growth business unit by leveraging both internal and external partners to gain competitive advantages for M&D.
- Work closely with various internal departments to implement any pricing software to work with our ERP.
- Develop consistent methods for calculating pricing levels in partnership with our VP of Sales & Marketing to create pricing expectations.
- Develop competitive pricing strategy across all product categories.
- Analyze and present ways to increase profit.
- Develop, lead, and manage pricing process.
- Lead price increase process for the organization while ensuring reasonableness with the market.
- Align M&D’s pricing to take advantage of value proposition perception.
- Be the Subject Matter Expert for all things pricing.
- Continuously perform market analysis.
- Intimately understand our competitors and leverage intelligence to position M&D above competition.
- Develop business case for pricing projects and initiatives as needed.
- Support the annual operating plan build and tracking for the pricing actions as part of the annual budgeting process.
- Cost/Benefit modeling and creating business cases.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing, Finance, Technology, Statistics, or related field
- Experience within the Automotive/Diesel/Transportation industry preferred
- 7 years’ experience in managing and implementing pricing and analytics platforms; Epicor Prelude ERP experience a plus.
- Experience in data science and analytics with pricing capabilities.
- Expert-level Excel skills
- Experience with Power BI
- Experience managing large scale technology service providers and various delivery models for optimal fit with organizational culture and structure
- Experience and proficiency with other suite of Microsoft products.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to stitch together the insights from disparate data sources both internal and external
- Strategic and innovative in thought process
- Ability to problem solve complex scenarios
- Operate in a complex, rapidly changing environment while adhering to tight schedules and budgets
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects in varying degrees of implementation
