Summary of Position
In 2021, ASTM International acquired Wohlers Associates (WA), an additive manufacturing (AM) advisory group and market intelligence firm. Wohlers Associates provides technical, market, and strategic advisory services on the new developments and trends in rapid product development and AM. For 29 years, WA has published the Wohlers Report, an undisputed industry-leading publication on 3D printing.
We are seeking an experienced additive manufacturing professional to serve as the Additive Manufacturing Project Engineer to join our team. This role, under the umbrella of ASTM International’s Advanced Manufacturing Programs Division, demands an adaptive and independent individual. The responsibilities of this pivotal role include, but are not limited to:

Offering comprehensive support in the planning, execution, communication, and project management of WA advisory projects.

Support or lead the proposal development and team building efforts in response to project calls

Lead the development of engaging blog posts, social media content, sections for the Wohlers Report, and news stories about AM.

Collaborating with associates/contributors to align communication content with our strategic goals and objectives.

Providing customer support, including but not limited to, fulfilling online orders, responding to inquiries about reports and events, managing copyrights, and handling additional tasks as needed.

Overseeing the maintenance and monitoring of various websites, marketing tools, and platforms.

Support the analysis, visualization, and documentation of all WA data and deliverables

Conduct technical presentations, as required
Please note that travel will be required for this position (up to 20%).
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

Demonstrated experience in additive manufacturing technologies
-
Excellent writing skills
-
Demonstrated project management experience, including using project management tools to improve productivity

Proven record in developing content (both peer-reviewed and social media contents)

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to meet project timelines

Willing to learn and adapt with emerging technologies

Proven ability to work in a team with good interpersonal skills

Self-starter with exceptional attention to detail

Technically motivated to solve problems and have the creativity to initiate new ideas

Can-do attitude and independent decision-making abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in engineering

5+ years or more of technical experience in additive manufacturing

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively with all levels of management and translate them into meaningful project outcomes

Proven record in writing proposals and receiving grants
