The GIS Analyst is responsible for providing GIS services for assigned projects, collaborating with more senior GIS Analysts, Project Engineers, Project Managers and other project team members. The GIS Analyst analyzes information and evaluates its applicability to the GIS system, reports GIS pipeline and related data in query, tabular report and graphical(map) formats. They assist different teams of professionals in the execution of this work depending on the stage of the projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Create, update and maintain enterprise geographic databases.
- Create, maintain, and document versions of data for display on pipeline centerline maps, alignment maps and station drawings.
- Analyze information and evaluate its applicability to the GIS system.
- Report GIS pipeline and related data in query, tabular report, and graphical (Map) formats.
- Interacts with senior leadership to establish strategic plans and objectives
- Maintains and improves data management and field survey procedures
- Ensure company data integrity, accuracy, and efficient flow of data throughout the project life cycle
- Supports the Database Administrator with maintenance and design of internal databases and implementation of new geospatial databases and schema
- Provide support for GIS related requests from internal and external clients
- Present GIS, data, capabilities, workflows, technical processes, organizational data flow, and GIS database schemas to management
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Information Systems, or related field.
- 4-12 year’s prior experience working with GIS.
- Experience should include oil and gas and/or pipeline experience.
- Experience with creating, updating and maintaining geographic databases.
- Knowledge of ESRI's 9.3 & 10.x ArcGIS Desktop software.
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
