Position Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall functionality, maintenance, upkeep, and presentation of the properties. Under the administrative supervision of the Program Director and Operations Director, and in accordance with program policy, goals, and purposes, the Facilities Maintenance Technician is accountable to ensure the health and safety of all clients by managing the environment in which they reside while in our care. The Facilities Maintenance Technician ensures that we are providing clients with a desired, comfortable, safe, and appealing environment to begin their recovery journey.
Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Complete necessary building and equipment repairs on all assigned properties (Mountain View, Calle Azteca, Axis)
- Ensure all vans are being serviced regularly, repaired when needed, service records are organized
- Ensure cleanliness of all vans, exterior and interior
- Organize and keep inventory of maintenance supplies, purchase when needed.
- Assemble/build furniture and items requiring assembly
- Assist with office moves and new office set-up
- Spearhead joint commission task requirements as assigned (i.e. fire extinguishers, safety data sheets/SDS, fridge logs, chemical sheets, van logs)
- Regularly clean air conditioner filters
- Organize/inventory storage
- Ensure all client televisions are working properly and have needed working applications
- Liaise with contractors, vendors, and outside agents when asked, receive quotes as needed
- IT/computer troubleshooting to best of ability, contact IT support when necessary
- Respond to, follow-up, and address issues reported in Maintenance/Repairs chat
- Assist clients in organizing food storage, disposing of expired/aged food, labeling/dating items
- Assist Behavioral Health Technicians and/or supervise clients with general household chores and cleanliness as required
- Respond to building problems and crisis when needed
- Develop and practice safety measures on a regular basis (i.e. fire drills), work in conjunction with Operations Manager to execute and document
- Identify environmental safety/security risks and ensure that mitigation strategies are in place
- Effectively disseminate summaries of risk related actions and results
- Assist Program Director, Director of Operations, and Operations Manager in all duties assigned
- Deliver supplies and ensure facility has adequate material to meet all operating needs
- Maintain inventory of supplies, including medical, recreation, hygiene, and kitchen. Assist Operations Director with ordering when needed and oversee organization of supply storage.
- Ensure building/safety incident reports (IRs) are completed in a timely manner when appropriate

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
