Content Specialists - Math & Literacy
Our client is a well-established non-profit in the educational space that is seeking to hire an Early Literacy AND a Math Content Specialist. These roles will be instrumental in working with minority educational institutions, community organizations, and key education stakeholders to develop literacy and math programs aimed to strengthen the development of PK-12 educators. Additionally, this role will assist in educating our partners to promote continuous improvements and best practices. This is a remote, direct hire position near Atlanta, GA. This position requires 30% travel to organization headquarters, educational institutions, national conferences/conventions. Job Description:
- Work closely with education departments at HBCUs or any minority serving institutions to develop and implement content aimed at developing adult educators to deliver high-quality math or literacy programs for PK-12 educators
- Host in-person or virtual sessions to various institutions to improve aspects of math and literacy teaching programs. Design, implement, track, deliver, and report on professional development
- Act as a trusted advisor to supporting faculty, community partners, and all stakeholders through coaching, mentoring, and holding 1:1s while determining prioritization and improvements in all aspects of program delivery using a collaborative and evidence-based approach
- Develop resources and/or tools to assist with the improvement of math and literacy programs
- Timely documentation of all reports on all initiatives and program development and provide a path for escalation
- A deep passion for advancing equity of minority educators and a passion for enrolling diverse future educators

Job Requirements:
- Master degree in math/ literacy or a related degree (Doctoral degree a plus!)- adult learning experience is required
- 3 yrs of experience in higher education ( focus on teaching prep is a plus) and 5 yrs of experience in early childhood & math/literary experience
- Strong attention to detail, data driven, and advanced market knowledge of math/literary trends (both current & emerging)
- Experience working with institutions that serve minority populations (PK-12 or higher education) and deep understanding of various theories relating to adult learning & professional development

Pay: $63,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
