The Inventory Assistant will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient and effective stock control, and supporting the inventory management team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming inventory
- Update inventory management systems with accurate data
- Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies to the Inventory Manager
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and audits
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse/storage area
- Prepare and process inventory-related documentation, including purchase orders and invoices
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to resolve any inventory issues
- Ensure inventory is stored in an organized and accessible manner
- Support the Inventory Manager in developing and implementing inventory control procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Previous experience in inventory management or a similar role is a plus
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $22.10 - $24.15 per hour
